Travel and Local Information

As the main gateway to New Zealand, Auckland International Airport is accessible by most major international cities and airlines.
The University of Auckland’s Fale Pasifika complex is situated at 26 Wynyard Street, Auckland City (not accessible by vehicle). Taxis, buses or shuttles can take you to Symonds Street, Grafton or Alten Roads.
There is a commercial car park on Grafton Road under the Owen G. Glen Business School building. The pedestrian exit at the far end of this car park is
directly under the Fale Pasifika.

To and from Auckland International Airport
Buses:
Regular bus services connect the airport to the central city and several other local centres. For timetable and connection information, contact MAXX +64 9 366 6400, or visit www.maxx.co.nz.
A regular 15-minute Airbus Express service is available from the airport for all travellers to Auckland’s CBD and to the city’s waterfront Downtown Ferry Terminal. The bus is bright blue and clearly labelled, simply hop on and buy your tickets directly from the driver. Tickets cost
about NZ$12 each way.
There are similar bus services connecting the airport to other parts of Auckland, like Botany, Pakuranga, Manukau City.

Taxis and Shuttles:

Auckland Airport licenses specific taxi and shuttle companies to ensure airport visitors and travellers receive a high standard of service. All taxi and shuttle companies are able to drop you off at the airport, however only licensed companies are able to pick you up from the designated
taxi ranks at the terminal buildings.
Taxi and shuttle ranks are located outside the arrivals area (door 8) at the international terminal and outside the luggage collection area (door 4) at the domestic terminal. You can pre-book with one of the companies listed below or just turn up at the terminal ranks – taxis and shuttles are
always available.
Indicative fares from the airport into the city is between NZ$60 – NZ$80 one-way for a taxi and between NZ$30 and NZ$40 per person for a shuttle. For specific fare pricing, contact the taxi and shuttle companies directly.

Buses:
City Circuit
The free City Circuit buses move passengers clockwise in a loop around key destinations such as The Edge entertainment area, the University of Auckland, the Viaduct Basin, Britomart and Queen Street every 10 minutes from 8am to 6pm every day, including weekends. You can catch the free bus from the bus stop on Wellesley Street or from outside the General Library at the University of Auckland.

The Link Bus
Fare: $1.60 for every ride.
The Link travels both clockwise and anti-clockwise at the same time in a loop that includes QEII Square, Railway Station, Parnell, Newmarket, Karangahape Road, Ponsonby and Queen Street.
The Link service has a 10 minute frequency between 6am and 7pm Monday to Friday, and Saturday 7am-6pm, and 15 minute frequency in the evenings and at other times on the weekends.
The two stops closest to the University are located outside the General Library on Alfred Street, and beside the AUT campus on Wellesley Street.
